Since we were anxious to ride our bikes and walk in a safe but challenging farm, we decided to go to Senderos de Colón. Glori and I already knew about this unique place so we knew of its steep hills and very technical descents. It was cool to take Tavo and Karla along as well.

First of all, we arrived past 9am (which is a little late honestly) with a strong sun, we paid Miguel (very cool guy) the entrance and we started our tour.

The first 400 meters are between coffee plantations and then we it’s into the forest. The hills are intense but there are very good views of the central valley to rest and take pictures.

The thing is that there are more than 350 meters of accumulated ascent and in that heat it feels even worse, that’s why you have to bring enough water and food. What we did to save us some time was to climb the first half of the slope a couple of times and with then on foot we went up to the antenna and then biked down again to the parking lot.

Overall we spent almost 3 hours inside the farm and had a great time ... best of all is the parking security and the trails on a closed farm dedicated to outdoor sports.
