Who doesn’t like to spend a Sunday at a mountain? ... and even better in front of a lake with boats. This place looks like something out of a fairy tale and is perfect for a family picnic or a walk in the epic forest, which is characteristic of the Los Santos area.

How to get there? To get there you have to go to Cerro de la Muerte by route 2 Interamericana Sur, after passing the first Chespiritos you have to continue 2.1 km more until you turn right towards the farm where the sign is.

To go to Mosqueritos we left from Tavo’s place around noon, on the way we passed by Glori and then we stopped a mini super to buy snacks and then continued towards our destination.

When we arrived at the gate of the farm the access is the one on the right (wooden gate) and the majority of the path is on a good condition road (any car arrives), it’s all descend, you go through some ruins of greenhouses and paddocks until passing through parts of forest of huge trees, that even make you want to get out and take a pic, but we continued to the bottom where the farm is located.

We arrived and were greeted by the owner named Auris and his assistant named Jacinto, we released the dogs to run and dedicated ourselves to enjoy the place. What can you do here? - Whatever you want, play frisbee, with rackets, hide and seek, roll in the grass, hang your hammocks, ride on the boats of the lake, see the horses, climb a tree and picnic facing the lake. We enjoyed the little lake, we all rode the boats, the dogs ran like crazy and had so much fun. We obviously have a classic picnic as well.

After an hour and something my parents, my niece and Glori's brother with his niece arrived, this quickly turned into a family Sunday with pets, pretty nice, then the whole bunch went to see the trails of the farm. My mom also improved the picnic with some food they bought in Chespi, that's a good tip .. just buy a bunch of baked goods like empanadas, picadillo de arracache, tortillas with cheese, etc.

The trails are under the shade of the trees, there are lots of mosquitoes so make sure you pack some repellent, there is also a "long" and a short route, but the deal here is not to hike, it’s more to take it slow and enjoy the way. After walking a bit it was time to eat, we headed back to prepare our classic picnic and even enjoy some coffee with that.
