We went to the Papagayo Peninsula to see one of the submerged beaches in this hotel complex. For that, you just have to get to the parking lot of the Peninsula de Papagayo project (link Waze attached) and the transport of the place will take you to the beach you want totally free...

I am not going to lie to you, it is difficult to choose since they are all beautiful. What I am going to tell you is to arrive early, because to get to each beach it takes time while you wait for the bus. Then, depending on the beach, you have to get on another bus and then walk another lot until you reach the beach you chose.

So to get to the Virador beach (which was the one we chose), from where the bus left us there are paths over wooden bridges inside the forest, very beautiful and many steps (about 600).

When we finished going down we were surprised by the perfection of the beach… white sand, crystal clear, calm water, good shade and few people. If you go with good weather and a lot of energy, you can visit 3 beaches, but be prepared to walk. A good tip is to travel light so you don't have to carry things, especially when you have to go up all the steps.

Don't forget to bring a blanket to throw on the beach, sunscreen, finger food and plenty of hydration as there is nothing nearby here.

We had a picnic, played, took photos and enjoyed this beautiful place. We got ready to go back to San José since it was Sunday and we all already know how the Highway 27th traffic gets.
