We went to the Guanacaste area to check out Playa Prieta ... a small paradisiacal beach with easy access, nice shade, white sand and clear water perfect for swimming.

You have to go to Playa Potrero, passing through the Amistad bridge, Nicoya, Santa Cruz, Huacas, Brazilito until you pass the soccer field of the town of Potrero, after that it’s about 700 meters until you see a small sign that says Playa Prieta.

We arrived at the beach around 10 o'clock in the morning and there were already a lot of cars parked, we got a spot under some shade so we unfolded the cover TMJ of the car, and we placed the beach chairs and hammock to mark our territory and got ready to enjoy.

The beach has white sand, good shade, and super transparent water. It is perfect to do boogie or paddleboard ... unfortunately, we do not have boogie but some friends let us borrow a paddleboard which we did not use at the end due to the strong wind.

We spent a nice time here, playing around, running side by side with and doing everything one does during a full day at the beach ...By that, I mean being active and then passing out afterward.

Around 4pm we picked up our things in order to get some lunch and then it was time to return home to San Jose.
