We went to Kinkara ... a glamping hotel that exceeded all of our expectations, providing an epic experience to all guests.

How to get there? Go towards Perez Zeledón from Cerro de La Muerte and about 15 minutes after passing the center of the town you have to turn left towards Santa Elena, on the way you will find signs that lead you to Kinkara’s location.

We arrived at Kinkara on Friday night slightly tired as we left a little late and with dams from San José ... luckily we were greeted with a cool before taking us to our rooms which were super Chivas and comfortable camping tents.

The next day we woke up at this awesome place with a Yoga platform in the center surrounded by a garden/orchard from which they take much of the restaurant's food.

After walking a bit through the garden we went to take a bath and then meet for breakfast (incredible) as usual in the hotel ... sharing the table with other guests.

Taking advantage of the perfect sky, we went to a waterfall and pool mounted on horseback. On the tour of the great estate, we passed by beautiful viewpoints of the San Isidro valley and arrived at the parking lot of horses near the river, we walked about 300 meters through the forest until we reached the river ...where you’ll see the most delicious pool!

With its super crystalline and cold water, we ended up swimming to see the waterfall and then went down to another waterfall in the same river where only Tavo dove in (it was very high).

After the ride, we went back for lunch at the hotel’s restaurant and then I went with Tavo to the hammocks next to the river where we slept a little.

At the end of the day, to finish this lovely stay, they gave us a yoga class on the platform in the middle of the mandala, with the sunset in the background. It was a spectacular experience ...

After dinner they lit a mystical bonfire right in front of the restaurant, where we sat down to chat and try to sing something that would sound nice (we got nothing) ... so then we went to sleep.

We woke up again in Kinkara and before going to breakfast, they took us on a tour of the Mandala garden where we learned a lot about permaculture and the concept of farm-to-table.

After breakfast, we drove to the highest part of the property where we came across an incredible panoramic view. We stayed only a sec while we went to see Las Lajas waterfall, which is also on the property of Kinara.

To get there, we approached the car to the path and walked about 100m until we reached the river, we continued upstream for about 10 minutes until we reached the waterfall that was awesome. We didn’t hesitate to dive into the water (which was very cold), we got behind the fall of the water and splashed for a while until we ended up lying down resting on the stones.

To finish our last day we returned for lunch for the last time before going back to San José ...still surprised at how this hotel was so well done and how delicious everything we ate in Kinkara was.
