We arrived at the Figues Farm in Guacimo Parriba, around 9 am where the family that owns the farm received us, we had a delicious breakfast and then started walking with our guide Gerardo towards the waterfalls.

The tour begins on a path between farms overlooking the valley of the Caribbean, after passing a few lakes, you go down a path that passes through a river and this is where the beauty begins.

During the walk we passed through gorgeous giant trees that protected us from the strong heat. After half an hour we passed the entrance of the first waterfall, but we resisted and continued until the second one, which was about 15 minutes further.

To get to the second, you go down a broken trail until you reach the base of the majestic Los Montes waterfall. The waterfall is gigantic with a good pool, in addition the water is totally crystalline and has a perfect temperature to cool off from the humid Caribbean tropics.

Something that seemed cool to us is the rock wall that borders the waterfall ... this plus the jungle made a perfect combination. In addition, in front of the waterfall there are quite a few stones perfect for resting and having a picnic.

After this waterfall we went to the other one, when we started to go down we found a super cool deck, perfect to admire the waterfall from the top, then the steps ended and you reached the bottom.

This second waterfall is just as beautiful but it also has a larger pool and is also slightly more accessible. We stayed a while here enjoying ourselves until it was time for lunch so we grabbed our things to go back to the Figues Farm restaurant.

After eating a delicious ¨casado¨ (typical dish), we returned to San José with our batteries charged from having visited this beautiful place.
