We went to Treep, a perfect place to walk, have a picnic next to a river and enjoy with family/friends close to the city.

From the center of Ciudad Colón, continue for about 5 minutes until you reach the gate on the right hand side of Treep CR.

We arrived at the Treep farm at 8 am, where the owners Ana Cristina and Sebas welcomed us to explain a little about the place and then we started down a path between bamboos until we reached the picnic area next to the river.

At the picnic area there are several tables with shade, well separated from each other to avoid mixing bubbles of people… and the most beautiful thing is that they are next to the river.

After getting to know the area of ​​tables, we went to walk towards the waterfall… this is a little tour that one has to book before arriving and is included with the entrance.

The trail is all in the shade, you pass a couple of paddocks and then you come to a forest of giant bamboos called the Sanctuary. What a cool and relaxing place, so much so that we stayed for a while listening to the sound of the wind.

To finish the tour we ended up having a small snack at the waterfall. This place has a beautiful squeaky waterfall perfect for sitting down for a while to rest and gather strength for the return slope.

Then we went back up to the picnic area, where we ordered express hamburgers and had lunch by the river.
