Chirripó – San Jerónimo Route
Go to Chirripó National Park by a different route. It’s the same amount of kilometers, but different flavor… you get there through the mystical Sabana de los Leones. A trail under the perfect shade and a ground covered with leaves that does not hurt the knees when going down. Definitely a must!

Located in Sabalito de Coto Brus is one of the most wonderful waterfalls we have seen in recent years, simply spectacular with a waterfall like tiers made up of thousands of stones of a particular size and geometric shape.

Poza Los Coyotes – Liberia
The farm is epic and has an emerald-colored river that rises from nothing more and nothing less than the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano…with waterfalls and pools perfect for cooling off from the Guanacaste heat.

Barbilla National Park – Siquirres
An exaggeratedly beautiful and virgin place, guided by the Cabécar indigenous people inside a little explored jungle that hides the most beautiful pools and waterfalls we have seen. So don’t think twice, take a hike to this awesome spot from the National Park.

This may be the most celestial river we have ever seen, submerged in the forest with hot springs right at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano… It is an incredible place that is worth visiting.

Metaponto Falls – San Vito
One of the most beautiful and imposing waterfalls we have seen in the 6 years of Que Buen Lugar. The path is not easy, but after going down a highly technical trail until you reach the waterfall, you realize that every step is worth it.

We went to one of the longest and most beautiful waterfalls in the country, the El Indio Waterfall located in Puriscal and it is a really cool place to take a walk.

After three years we returned to our favorite waterfall in Colonia del Toro (Bajos del Toro), a place that has absolutely everything, from the best pools of crystal clear water to the highest waterfall we have seen in the area. This is Cascadas Pozo Azul and the family that assists this beautiful place are the best.
