We left after lunch for Guanacaste, it took us a total of 3.5 hours the whole way with stops on the way that are very photogenic.

When we got to the Rinconcito Lodge they welcomed us with all the corresponding health protocols due to COVID and then they gave us a freshly made welcome cocktail. Then we went to leave our stuff in the room and rested for a bit and then got ready for dinner which was yummy.

On Sunday we got up early and after a typical breakfast we went for a walk along one of the lodge's trails to a waterfall. The trail is very nice, all in the shade, during the walk you have to cross the river a couple of times (once over a hammock bridge and another over stones) until we reach the waterfall where we took a break. The water was a bit cloudy from yesterday's rainfall but it was still pretty.

After that we went back along the same path to our room, where we put on long pants to go horseback riding. The path that we took to go to the other waterfall had a hill between beautiful pastures with a view of the Rincón de la Vieja volcano, then we went into the forest through a path in the shade until we reached the parking lot, here we got off to walk down to the waterfall.

This second waterfall was larger, also with a good pool and the water was even clearer, here we ate some fruit before returning to the hotel for lunch.

The bike ride was a blast, we went through roads next to a canyon with particular vegetation of the area, and as the sun went down the sky became more and more beautiful.

During the walk the same thing happened, the difference is they walked up to a pasture with a 360 degree view, so they also saw the sunset with the volcano cleared on the other side.

To end the day we met at the hotel restaurant for dinner and then rested from a great day full of outdoor activities.
